For the well-being of all

It's been 48 years since I arrived at Humacao from San Juan with my family. We were 4, my husband Dr. Romulo Suero and 2 children. My younger daughter was born here and from that moment where we settled in, I made Humacao my town and its people, my people.

I'm a mother, grandmother, an accountant and a lawyer and I endearingly love my city of Humacao and I want the best for it and for all of us living here. That's why in 2019, I made myself available to run for Municipal Legislator for Movimiento Victoria Ciudadana. In the short time of that campaign, I went to some neighborhoods and urbanizations in Humacao. Through conversations I had with the people, I became convinced that it's from the very communities where proposals for a government plan should come from, since they know, more than anyone, what are their needs.

We Can Win

In the last elections 16,177 voters did not come out to vote in Humacao. These represented 45% of the voters who had the right to vote and the responsibility to exercise it. Not voting should not be an option. I exhort that you check your electoral status and make sure you have your electoral card. If you're not registered, do it as soon as possible so you can exercise your democratic right to vote. This time you can vote with the hope that we will build together the Humacao that we want and deserve, from and for the communities.

Economic Development and Entrepreneurship

• Boost the establishment of new industries that will affect in strengthening the established businesses and, in turn, boost new economies.

• Support for the small and medium local businessman. It is time to end the abandonment and the improvisation in the Urban Center.

Prevention and Health

• We will work innovative programs that result in an improvement in the quality of health services focused on prevention.

Integrated Security

• The creation of a communications structure and cooperation between municipal, state and federal public order forces, while also integrating communities.

• The use of Police technology and intelligence as tools for crime prevention.

Participatory Democracy

• Enough of the neighborhood commissioners and the Party in power wanting control over recreational and communitarian directives. It's time to understand that the Party is not the government. That communities will organize without partisan influences.
